If an employer, licensing body or other organisation has asked for a certificate, confirm the required level. A Basic check will not replace a Standard or Enhanced check where that is the appropriate requirement.

There is a separate route for eligible paid self employed roles and personal employees through an Umbrella Body. Use the specific guidance for that route rather than assuming every individual application can be Enhanced.
